XRP Gains Major DeFi Utility as FXRP Unlocks RLUSD Lending on Ethereum

XRP has taken a significant step into decentralized finance (DeFi) as FXRP. A tokenized representation of XRP on the Flare Network, is now accepted as collateral in Sentora’s $280 million RLUSD lending vault on Ethereum. Powered by the Morpho Blue protocol.

The integration allows XRP holders to convert their XRP into FXRP. Bridge it to Ethereum, and borrow Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin without selling their underlying assets. Enabling them to access liquidity while maintaining exposure to XRP’s price appreciation. This marks the first time an XRP-based asset has been approved as collateral in an institutionally managed lending vault on Ethereum. Significantly expanding XRP’s utility beyond cross-border payments into on-chain credit markets. Industry participants view the milestone as a breakthrough similar to Wrapped Bitcoin’s (WBTC) role in bringing Bitcoin into Ethereum’s DeFi ecosystem. Reinforcing XRP’s growing adoption across lending. Tokenized finance, and institutional blockchain infrastructure.
