The Surge of DAO Treasuries Reaching $40.1 Billion in Four Months
In the span of four months, the decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) landscape has experienced a notable transformation.
Initially, 179 DAOs boasted treasuries surpassing $1 million each, a number that has now surged to 211. This surge coincides with a remarkable increase in the collective value of DAO treasuries by over $20 billion since November 1, 2023. Currently valued at $40.1 billion, these treasuries reflect the growing influence and significance of DAOs in the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
At the forefront of this surge are prominent DAOs like the Optimism Collective and Arbitrum, commanding treasuries worth $7.9 billion and $6.8 billion respectively. Notably, Uniswap’s DAO has ascended to the third spot with a treasury valued at $4.8 billion, surpassing Mantle’s previous position. The concentration of value among the top five DAO treasuries, which collectively represent 62.34% of the total value, underscores the growing importance of these entities. Furthermore, with Optimism’s DAO processing 151 proposals and Arbitrum’s reviewing 200, it’s evident that DAOs are becoming key players in governance and decision-making within the cryptocurrency landscape.
