NFT Traders Rejoice: OpenSea Launches No-Fee ‘Pro’ Marketplace with Exclusive Rewards

OpenSea, the leading NFT marketplace, has launched OpenSea Pro, a more robust version of its platform that offers zero marketplace fees (for now), plans for NFT-based trading rewards, and additional trading tools. OpenSea Pro aggregates listings from over 170 NFT marketplaces and offers users more flexibility when searching for NFT listings and managing their digital assets. OpenSea’s main marketplace recently cut its 2.5% platform fee amid the rise of rival Blur, but it will reinstate the fee amid the launch of OpenSea Pro, while the Pro platform will offer a temporary 0% fee for traders. OpenSea Pro will maintain OpenSea’s current creator royalty model, which requires only a 0.5% minimum royalty on projects that do not use an on-chain enforcement method. OpenSea will also offer NFTs as rewards to traders, although it has yet to reveal details. OpenSea still boasts more active users than Blur, with nearly 91,000 unique Ethereum wallets over the past week compared to about 41,000 for Blur.
