Michael Saylor Highlights Bipartisan Support for Bitcoin Reserves After US Election Wins

Strategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor has highlighted growing bipartisan interest in government Bitcoin reserves. Following Republican Byron Donalds’ victory in Florida’s gubernatorial election and Democrat James Talarico’s win in the Texas Senate race.
In a November 4 statement, Saylor pointed to both politicians’ previous support for Bitcoin reserve initiatives as evidence that government adoption of the cryptocurrency extends beyond traditional party divisions.
Donalds introduced legislation in March 2025 to establish the U.S. Strategic Bitcoin Reserve in federal law, while Talarico supported Texas’ Bitcoin reserve legislation, approved by the state House in a 101-42 vote in May 2025. The federal reserve was initially established through an executive order. While Texas created a separate state-level reserve. Saylor’s comments highlight how Bitcoin is increasingly entering government financial policy discussions, although broader adoption remains dependent on legislation. Funding decisions, and regulatory developments.
