Malaysia is fast-tracking its blockchain ambitions by engaging Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) to help shape its digital finance strategy.

In a recent meeting with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, the two discussed positioning Malaysia as a regional hub for tokenization and blockchain innovation. Anwar stressed the need for coordinated efforts among key agencies and highlighted the government’s active role in driving responsible innovation.

The talks explored integrating blockchain into financial systems and creating progressive policies to support digital assets. CZ, who is advising several countries on blockchain strategies, confirmed the collaboration, signaling Malaysia’s growing presence in the global digital economy.
