Lyft Integrates Blockchain Mapping with Solana-Backed Hivemapper

Lyft has partnered with Bee Maps to enhance its navigation systems using Hivemapper, a decentralized Solana-based mapping network.

By tapping into Bee Maps’ Hivemapper-powered technology, Lyft aims to provide its 2 million drivers with up-to-date, street-level data. This collaboration, active since 2024, allows Lyft to improve ride efficiency and possibly prepare for autonomous vehicle deployment. Bee Maps’ CEO emphasized that real-time, crowdsourced maps outperform outdated systems, offering better detection of road changes and ensuring smarter, faster mobility solutions.
