Hashgraph Backs 10,000 African Developers with New Hackathon to Fuel Web3 Innovation
The Hashgraph Association and the Exponential Science Foundation have launched the Hedera Africa Hackathon 2025 to empower over 10,000 Web3 developers across more than 20 African cities.
Participants will build decentralized solutions on the Hedera network in industries like finance, telecom, and manufacturing, competing for a $1 million prize. The initiative combines online and in-person events, supported by training from the Hedera Academy and a strong developer community.
With backing from partners like Tunisia-based DAR Blockchain, the hackathon aims to boost blockchain innovation, education, and entrepreneurship across Africa’s rapidly growing tech landscape.
