Boosting Development: Maelstrom Debuts Bitcoin Grants to Foster Innovation
Maelstorm, associated with Bitcoin advocate Arthur Hayes, has launched a grant program aimed at advancing Bitcoin’s technical development.
The initiative offers grants ranging from $50,000 to $150,000 per developer, with applications due by August 25. The program emphasizes enhancing Bitcoin’s resilience, censorship resistance, and privacy features. Maelstorm underscores its commitment to supporting open-source developers who contribute to the crypto ecosystem.
Candidates will undergo interviews with the review committee, including Arthur Hayes and Jonathan Bier, before grants are awarded. Grant recipients are expected to actively contribute to Bitcoin Core software updates, with awards scheduled for Q3 and Q4 2024.
