Worldcoin Probe Concluded by Kenyan Authorities
Kenyan police have concluded their investigation into Worldcoin, allowing the company to resume operations in the country.
Authorities had previously accused Worldcoin of operating illegally and collecting residents’ data without authorization. After nearly a year of suspension and discussions with Kenyan officials, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations closed the case, citing no further police action.
Thomas Scott, chief legal officer at Tools for Humanity, confirmed Worldcoin will soon start registering Kenyan users again and praised the fair investigation and decision to drop the charges.
