US Senator Ted Cruz Praises Bitcoin As “Alpha” In Crypto Sphere
US Senator Ted Cruz is “incredibly bullish on bitcoin” and believes it’s the “alpha in the crypto sphere,” according to his remarks at a Bitcoin Policy Institute event. Cruz said bitcoin’s creation is still “extraordinary” and remains attractive to people as a hedge against inflation and an “important check” against government spending. He also criticized the US government for printing trillions of dollars and causing “significant inflation.”
Cruz added that he likes BTC for the “same reason that the Chinese Communist government doesn’t like bitcoin.” Republican senators, including Cruz, have slammed the Securities and Exchange Commission’s regulatory approach to the crypto industry, calling it a hindrance to innovation.
