UAE to Strengthen Global South Economies Through BRICS Integration
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is set to boost economic development in the Global South through its new BRICS membership, according to Younis Haji Al Khoori from the Ministry of Finance.
The UAE plans to enhance cooperation with BRICS countries to achieve financial stability, sustainable development, and improved trade. By joining BRICS, the UAE aims to strengthen economic ties, support infrastructure projects, and influence emerging markets.
The UAE will also back the New Development Bank in advancing development goals for emerging and developing nations. The UAE officially joined BRICS in January 2024, alongside Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Ethiopia.
