Tom Lee Declares ‘Most Hated’ Market Rally Has Begun – What’s Next?

Tom Lee, head of research at Fundstrat, says the stock market is now experiencing a “most hated” rally, driven by strong performance and investor skepticism. He notes the S&P 500 has surged 17% from its recent lows and is nearing all-time highs.

Despite widespread doubt following unexpected market shocks. Drawing parallels to past rallies in 2020 and 2022, Lee believes investors often remain bearish until new highs are reached—at which point sentiment flips. He also points to Bitcoin’s recent peak above $111,000 as a signal of rising global liquidity that could boost equities.

Regarding Moody’s US credit downgrade, Lee downplays its impact, citing similar moves in past years that didn’t derail markets.
