Technical Challenges Force Mutiny to Suspend Bitcoin Lightning Wallet Development
Mutiny Wallet will cease operations by the end of 2024 due to technical challenges with Bitcoin Lightning wallet development.
The company is shifting focus to alternative products and will stop hosting the wallet and removing its apps from Apple and Google stores. Users can still self-host the wallet, but this shutdown may limit options and slow Lightning ecosystem innovation. CEO Tony Giorgio, citing burnout, will transition to CTO, while Marks will become the new CEO.
The team will now concentrate on creating services and tools for other developers and companies.
