Support Surges for Pro-XRP John Deaton in Senate Race with Ripple, Winklevoss, Scaramucci Backing

John Deaton’s Senate campaign in Massachusetts is attracting significant donations from prominent figures in the crypto community.

As a vocal XRP advocate running in the Republican primary, Deaton aims to challenge incumbent Senator Elizabeth Warren, a known critic of the digital asset sector. According to Politico, Deaton received substantial contributions of $6,600 each from Ripple executives Brad Garlinghouse and Chris Larsen, SkyBridge Capital founder Anthony Scaramucci, and Gemini co-founders Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss. Scaramucci, critical of Warren’s political stance, emphasizes the campaign’s goal to raise funds and defeat her. Other notable donations include $3,300 from Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson for Deaton’s primary bid.

Deaton’s involvement in the SEC’s lawsuit against Ripple and Warren’s sponsorship of the Digital Asset Anti-Money Laundering Act have sparked debates within the crypto community regarding regulatory challenges and industry concerns.
