Standard Chartered has launched a new entity in Luxembourg to offer crypto and digital asset custody services in the European Union.
This expansion aligns with the EU’s Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) Regulation and follows the bank’s recent launch of similar services in the UAE. The Luxembourg entity will serve as the bank’s gateway to EU digital asset services. Capitalizing on the region’s strong regulatory framework. Standard Chartered aims to meet the growing demand for secure, regulated digital asset solutions and bolster its global strategy. Laurent Marochini has been appointed CEO of the Luxembourg branch.
