South Korean Company Dreamus Unveils NFT Tickets on Avalanche Blockchain for Events and K-Pop Concert Experiences

South Korean entertainment company Dreamus, a subsidiary of SK Planet, has introduced NFT ticketing services through SK Planet’s OK Cashbag loyalty rewards app.
This allows fans to purchase NFT tickets for events like K-pop concerts and other shows on the Avalanche blockchain. OK Cashbag, with over 10 million downloads, rewards members with points for eligible purchases and offers games and quizzes. The NFT tickets will utilize SK Planet’s private Avalanche subnet. Currently, Avalanche-based NFT tickets are available for events such as the Seoul Jazz Festival and “Phantom of the Opera,” with the potential for more K-pop concerts in the future. NFT tickets can combat scalping issues, as they can be configured to restrict resale and set maximum prices.
A secondary marketplace for NFTs, offering loyalty perks and more, is also in the works. Justin Kim, Ava Labs’ head of Korea, highlighted the benefits of blockchain-based anti-scalping tickets for both fans and event organizers. This move reflects growing blockchain adoption in South Korea, with businesses recognizing its potential for solutions in various industries.
