South Africans Can Now Buy Real Estate with Crypto
Schindlers Digital Assets, in collaboration with Schindlers Attorneys and Broll Auctions and Sales, has launched South Africa’s first legally-compliant process for purchasing real estate using bitcoin or ethereum.
The initiative ensures crypto transactions adhere to financial regulations, with Schindlers Attorneys managing property transfers and Broll Auctions facilitating real estate sales.
CEO Candice Dawkshas highlighted the growing demand for integrating crypto in traditional sectors, noting, “Schindlers is uniquely positioned to lawfully handle cryptocurrency payments for property transfers.” The first crypto-enabled property auction will take place in Johannesburg on Nov. 21, 2024, signaling a new era for crypto adoption in South Africa’s real estate market.
