South Africa Invites Stakeholders to Contribute to National AI Strategy
South Africa has introduced a National AI Policy Framework to steer the development and ethical use of artificial intelligence.
The framework includes key areas like talent development, digital infrastructure, innovation, and ethical concerns such as transparency and accountability. Open for public comment until November 29, the policy will form the foundation for future AI regulations and possibly an AI Act.
The goal is to foster responsible AI growth to boost the economy, improve societal well-being, and position South Africa as a leader in AI innovation.
