Solana Mobile’s highly anticipated “Chapter 2” crypto phone has generated an impressive 60,000 preorders, demonstrating robust community support nearly a year before its slated launch in 2025.

The announcement, conveyed through a post on X by Solana Mobile, expressed gratitude for the unwavering support and belief in their vision. Positioned as the successor to the successful Solana Mobile Saga, known for its innovative cryptocurrency integration, “Chapter 2” aims to provide an affordable entry into the crypto world with a preorder price of $450, a significant reduction from its predecessor’s initial $1,000 launch price.

Anatoly Yakovenko, Solana Labs’ co-founder and CEO, highlighted the overwhelming response, citing over 60,000 preorders and the establishment of a dedicated user community. In addition to the preorder success, Solana Mobile introduced a leaderboard to encourage community engagement and referrals. The top 1,500 referrers stand to receive a non-transferrable Element NFT and opportunities for rewards from various Solana ecosystem teams. Solana Mobile plans to extend its influence within the crypto community with the “Chapter 2” device, which will offer a physical phone with crypto-supporting software to a broader audience.
