Russian Users Rejoice: Binance Removes Deposit Limits and Card Restrictions
Binance, the world’s biggest crypto exchange, has removed restrictions for Russian users! They can now use their bank cards to make deposits and there’s no longer a limit on their balances. Russian cards like Visa and Mastercard issued by local banks can be used to deposit money to Binance. The Qiwi payment service can also be used to load Binance accounts with Russian ruble, British pound, Turkish lira, and euro.
In March 2022, Binance halted transactions with Russian-issued cards after Visa and Mastercard suspended operations in Russia due to Western sanctions over the Ukraine conflict. However, now the €10,000 limit on Russian accounts has been reportedly lifted too. While Binance’s EU-registered entities can’t provide services to organizations established in Russia or Russian citizens, the platform may have transferred Russian users to a different jurisdiction.
