Rumble CEO Departs Europe Following Pavel Durov’s Arrest

Chris Pavlovski, CEO of Rumble, left Europe following the arrest of Telegram CEO Pavel Durov. Pavlovski condemned France’s actions, claiming the country had “crossed a red line” by detaining Durov for refusing to censor speech.

He emphasized that Rumble will vigorously defend freedom of expression and use all legal avenues to challenge such measures. Rumble itself faced a ban in France in 2022 for not censoring Russian news sources, but Pavlovski remains hopeful for Durov’s prompt release and continues to fight the ban in court.
