Ripple Exposes North Korea Crypto Threat Network With Shared Intelligence Initiative

Ripple has launched a new threat intelligence initiative targeting North Korea-linked cyber activity. Sharing data on fraudulent domains, crypto wallets, and active hacking campaigns.

The information will be distributed through Crypto ISAC, a security network designed to help crypto firms detect and block malicious actors more effectively. The shared intelligence goes beyond basic data. Including detailed profiles with emails, social accounts, and behavioral patterns tied to suspected attackers. This allows companies to screen employees, contractors, and partners more effectively, addressing a growing trend where hackers infiltrate firms through social engineering rather than technical exploits.

The move highlights rising security risks across the crypto industry, with North Korean-linked groups responsible for a significant share of global crypto theft. By enabling real-time intelligence sharing, Ripple aims to strengthen coordinated defense and reduce repeated attacks across platforms.
