Ripple Expands to Middle East with Landmark Dubai License

Ripple secured its first Middle East license from the Dubai Financial Services Authority, allowing it to offer blockchain-powered payment services in the Dubai International Financial Centre.

This regulatory approval strengthens Ripple’s presence in the region, where 20% of its customers are based. CEO Brad Garlinghouse highlighted Dubai’s proactive crypto regulations as a key driver of institutional adoption. With the UAE’s $400 billion trade market demanding faster cross-border payments, Ripple aims to address inefficiencies in traditional finance.

The company now holds over 60 regulatory approvals worldwide, reinforcing its leadership in blockchain-based payments.
