Potential Digital Currency Trading on Russia’s Leading Exchanges Under Review
The Russian Ministry of Finance has proposed allowing digital currency trading for qualified investors on licensed exchanges. Such as the Moscow Exchange and St. Petersburg Exchange.

Believes these exchanges are ready to handle cryptocurrency transactions and can start promptly once legal conditions are established. The proposal is part of a broader government review to regulate cryptocurrency mining and transactions under an experimental legal framework, aiming to use digital currencies in international settlements.
The Ministry of Finance supports comprehensive digital currency regulation. Suggesting organized trades for specially qualified investors and recognizing digital currency as a commodity and currency value for foreign trade agreements.
