OSL Digital Securities and UBS Forge Path for Digital Assets in Hong Kong
OSL Digital Securities, a Hong Kong-listed digital asset platform, has actively participated in UBS’s groundbreaking pilot project involving an “investment-grade tokenised warrant and simulated product life cycle.”
In this innovative initiative, UBS issued an equity-linked call warrant token on the Ethereum-based public blockchain to OSL, with the aim of transforming Hong Kong’s digital asset landscape. Patrick Pan, Chairman and CEO of OSL Group, emphasized that this collaboration marks a significant milestone for the digital asset sector in Hong Kong, simulating the entire product life cycle and contributing to the regulated virtual asset landscape’s advancement.
Pan highlighted the partnership’s importance in maintaining high standards within the digital asset market. UBS Global Markets’ head of sales, Winni Cheuk, affirmed that the tokenized warrant introduction solidifies UBS’s reputation as a leading issuer of derivative products in Hong Kong. Cheuk further outlined the product’s benefits, including enhanced transparency, reduced transaction fees, streamlined settlement processes, and increased flexibility in trading hours.
