Onchain Bitcoin and Ethereum Fees Drop Below $2, Reaching New Lows
Bitcoin and Ethereum network fees have remained low despite rising prices. As of January 2025, Bitcoin’s average transaction fee was $1.40, with Ethereum slightly lower at $1.10.
Over the past month, Bitcoin’s average fee was $3.08, but it dropped to $1.40 in early 2025. Ethereum’s fees also saw a decline, averaging $1.09 for the last 30 days. While fees for transactions on both networks remain under $2, decentralized exchange swaps and NFT sales on Ethereum incur higher costs, with swaps averaging $27.97 and NFT sales around $47.26. Despite lower fees, Bitcoin’s unconfirmed transactions rose to 189,794.
