Since December 21st, a solitary crypto whale has devoured approximately $53 million worth of Ethereum (ETH) and Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), as per blockchain tracker Lookonchain.
This whale recently splurged $20 million in USDC to acquire $10 million each in ETH and WBTC. USDC, the second-largest stablecoin by market cap, maintains a 1:1 peg to the US dollar. Throughout this period, the whale snagged 13,843 ETH at an average of $2,388 and 461 WBTC at an average of $43,168. WBTC, an ERC-20 token linked to Bitcoin’s price, enables traders to speculate on Bitcoin within the Ethereum ecosystem. Additionally, Lookonchain observes mysterious accumulation of Chainlink’s native asset (LINK) by another crypto whale or institution.
They withdrew 2,745,815 LINK, valued at $49.9 million, from Binance across 49 new wallets. LINK is currently trading at $18.47, showcasing a notable 18% increase in the past week and over 28% in the last month.
