The program, run by two nonprofits, aims to boost financial stability and child well-being in struggling households. Eligibility requires incomes below 80% of the area median, about $72,150 for a single parent. Research shows direct cash support improves outcomes for families, especially single mothers, who face significant income gaps and high living costs. Applicants can enter a lottery until July 1.
