New Integration: Robinhood Enables MetaMask Users to Access Cryptocurrency

Consensys, a leader in blockchain software, has teamed up with trading platform Robinhood to integrate Robinhood Connect with MetaMask, the most widely used web3 wallet. 

This partnership enables MetaMask users to effortlessly purchase crypto assets directly within the wallet using Robinhood’s order engine. The collaboration underscores MetaMask’s commitment to making web3 accessible and user-friendly while ensuring secure self-custody of users’ digital assets. By connecting Robinhood Connect with MetaMask’s Buy Crypto aggregator, the integration aims to streamline the process for Robinhood customers to buy digital assets. Seong Lee, Head of Products at Robinhood Crypto, highlights the mission to reduce friction for web3 adoption through Robinhood Connect, facilitating seamless funding of self-custody wallets via debit, bank transfer, or Robinhood buying power. 

A global survey conducted by Consensys last year revealed consumers’ desire for more community control, identity protection, and true self-custody online, emphasizing the need for a more user-friendly Web3 interface to overcome technical barriers.
