Multiple Ethereum Futures ETFs Debut in the U.S. as Investors Await Spot ETFs

Several U.S. investment firms, including ProShares, VanEck, Bitwise, Valkyrie, Kelly, and Volshares, introduced a total of nine Ethereum futures exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE).
ProShares launched three ETFs, including the Ether Strategy Fund and Bitcoin and Ether Strategy ETFs. Bitwise introduced its Bitwise Ethereum Strategy ETF and Bitwise Bitcoin and Ether Equal Weight Strategy ETF, while VanEck and Valkyrie launched Ethereum and Bitcoin and Ether Strategy ETFs, respectively.
Although the funds debuted with limited trading activity, investors are eagerly awaiting a spot crypto ETF, allowing exposure to cryptocurrencies at their current prices. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is reviewing multiple applications for such ETFs, including those from prominent Wall Street players. Until then, investors can trade futures contracts or acquire digital assets directly. Ethereum’s price at the time of writing was $1,690, with a 24-hour rise of 0.5% and a 7% increase over the past week.
