Major Bank Joins Forces With Chainlink in Landmark Deal; Sergey Nazarov Optimistic About SWIFT Project

Chainlink, the decentralized oracle service, has partnered with Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ) to explore the capabilities of its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) technology.

A case study conducted by ANZ and Chainlink showcased the seamless transfer of ANZ-issued stablecoins across different blockchains via CCIP, enabling the acquisition of nature-based assets. In a joint paper, Chainlink Labs and ANZ highlighted the potential of CCIP in simplifying user interactions with tokenized assets across public and private blockchains. Chainlink’s collaboration with SWIFT, a widely used banking standard, has also made significant strides, enabling the initiation of blockchain events and facilitating transactions between private and public bank chains.

According to Chainlink creator Sergey Nazarov, the partnership with SWIFT has met its key objectives, demonstrating successful integration of SWIFT messages and private bank chains with public chains, including decentralized finance contracts.
