Magic Eden Launches Bitcoin NFT Platform as Ordinal Numbers Approach 1 Million

Magic Eden, a multi-chain NFT marketplace, has announced the launch of its Bitcoin launchpad to allow creators to launch new collections of inscribed artwork or media on the Bitcoin blockchain. The platform will initially allow creators to sell Bitcoin Ordinals that have already been inscribed on the blockchain, but Magic Eden can also help facilitate the inscription process if requested. The launchpad’s first project is Deadjira, a spinoff from the Ethereum NFT project Godjira. The launchpad will feature several more drops, including a project from popular rapper Lil Durk. The firm’s Ordinals marketplace has topped the charts for trading volume since its launch in March, with over $3.3 million in sales volume so far, serving about 2,700 unique wallets.
