Magic Eden, the NFT marketplace, is actively pursuing a multi-chain future and has initiated the closed beta launch of its crypto wallet browser extension to support this vision.
Jack Lu, the CEO, emphasizes the challenges users face with existing wallet solutions, requiring multiple downloads for different blockchains. The initial release targets the Google Chrome browser, with plans for Safari and a mobile app, possibly launching in early 2024. Designed to be self-custodial, the wallet enables users to have full control over their crypto assets and requires them to securely manage a seed phrase.
