Kucoin Ventures and TON Foundation’s Push for Innovation in Blockchain Development
On December 1, Kucoin Ventures, the investment arm of the cryptocurrency exchange Kucoin, announced a strategic partnership with The Open Network (TON) Foundation, unveiling plans to contribute a substantial grant to fortify the TON blockchain ecosystem.
Kucoin Ventures earmarked the grant for five innovative “mini-apps” within the TON ecosystem, with a specific focus on payments and groundbreaking Gamefi initiatives. Recipients, including notable projects like the Future3 Campus and TON Bootcamp, anticipate benefiting from this support. The grant also aims to enhance marketing efforts to raise awareness about the TON blockchain.
Ian W, the Accelerator Head at TON Foundation, expressed excitement about the partnership, emphasizing the momentum it brings to mini-app development on The Open Network. He highlighted the collaboration’s role in fostering real-world blockchain solutions, particularly in payments and gaming. The alliance aligns with TON’s vision of a more accessible and decentralized digital future, according to a statement by the TON Foundation executive. Kucoin’s Managing Director, Alicia Kao, affirmed that the partnership resonates with Kucoin’s mission to promote the further development of the crypto and blockchain industry through close collaboration.
