Jason Lowery Applies for National Security Council Role to Advise on Bitcoin
Jason Lowery, a U.S. Space Force major and bitcoin advocate, has applied for an advisory role in the National Security Council and the White House Office of Science & Technology Policy.
Lowery aims to promote the strategic importance of Proof-of-Work technology and push for a national bitcoin stockpile and a U.S. “Hash Force.”
The move aligns with growing calls for integrating bitcoin into U.S. policy, including Senator Cynthia Lummis’ Bitcoin Act, proposing a national bitcoin reserve to bolster the U.S. economy and counter global crypto competition. President-elect Donald Trump has also outlined plans for a national bitcoin reserve, emphasizing the U.S. as a leader in cryptocurrency adoption.
