Hong Kong’s Stablecoin Sandbox Welcomes Collaboration from Standard Chartered, Animoca Brands, and HKT
Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Ltd. (SCBHK), Animoca Brands, and Hong Kong Telecom (HKT) have joined forces to participate in the Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s stablecoin issuer sandbox.
This collaboration, leveraging Zodia Custody’s digital asset capabilities, seeks to advance sustainable and transparent growth in the digital asset market. The initiative aims to bolster Hong Kong’s position as a global digital asset hub by investigating the role of stablecoins in financial and payment systems.
SCBHK will explore market opportunities and risks, Animoca Brands will focus on digital asset adoption and blockchain applications, and HKT will innovate stablecoin solutions for both domestic and international payments.
