Hedge Funds Boost Bitcoin Holdings In Latest SEC Filings

Hedge funds are continuing to diversify their portfolios with increased investments in bitcoin, according to the latest SEC 13F filings for Q3.

Notable hedge funds like Millennium Management, Capula Management, and Tudor Investment have significantly boosted their exposure to U.S. spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Millennium Management led the way, doubling its holdings in the Ishares Bitcoin Trust to 23.5 million shares, valued at $849 million. Other hedge funds, including Capula and Tudor, also raised their bitcoin ETF investments. This growing institutional interest comes as bitcoin ETFs have seen a 35% rise in Q4, spurred by favorable regulatory expectations.
