Google Reveals Smart XR Glasses with Built-In Gemini AI

Google has unveiled its Android XR smart glasses at the 2025 I/O conference, showcasing real-time translation, navigation, media capture, and AI assistance powered by Gemini.
Designed for on-the-go users, the glasses offer hands-free access to features like livestreaming, photo capture, text messaging, and Google Maps in an immersive display. Built in collaboration with Samsung and optimized for Snapdragon chips, Android XR aims to rival Meta’s AI glasses.
While pricing and release dates remain unannounced, Google plans to launch the glasses with eyewear brands Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, with a developer platform coming later this year.
