Ethereum Foundation Alerts Community to Compromised Mailing List and Phishing Risks
The Ethereum Foundation’s mailing list provider was breached, leading to the distribution of phishing emails.
Hackers have exploited compromised addresses to send fraudulent emails falsely claiming a partnership between Ethereum and LIDO, offering high annual percentage yields (APY) for staked assets. Ethereum core developer Tim Beiko warns recipients against clicking any links in these deceptive emails. The Foundation has taken action by contacting the mailing list provider to address the security breach promptly.
