Ethereum-Based Altcoin Surges Over 50% Following New Coinbase Listing
An Ethereum-based gaming altcoin, Ancient8 (A8), has surged over 50% following its sudden listing on Coinbase, a leading US crypto exchange.
Coinbase announced the listing on its social media platform X. Noting that A8 is marked with an experimental label due to potential low trading volume and high volatility.
Ancient8 uses Ethereum’s Optimism (OP) blockchain to enhance performance and reduce fees for game development. The protocol currently features five games and aims to integrate gaming, interoperability, and decentralization. Following the announcement, A8’s price jumped from $0.172 to a high of $0.261 before settling at $0.194.
