Eigenlayer Expands Crypto Security with New Permissionless Token Support

Eigen Labs is set to enhance the Eigenlayer protocol by introducing Permissionless Token Support. Allowing any ERC20 token to be used as a restakable asset.

This update will significantly broaden crypto economic security options for decentralized networks by enabling a diverse range of ERC20 tokens—such as native AVS tokens, stablecoins, and BTC-denominated tokens—to contribute to network security.
