Crypto Pyramid Scheme Worth $32 Million Dismantled by Spanish Police

Spanish police recently dismantled a cryptocurrency pyramid scheme that defrauded over 3,600 victims of $32 million.

The criminal gang created a fake bitcoin investment platform, promising high returns of 40% in one month and 300% in one year. Victims were tricked into giving up personal and banking details. And the gang used the funds for personal gain, including purchasing luxury vehicles.

After a three-year investigation, eight individuals, including the mastermind, were arrested. The scheme affected 2,718 Spaniards and victims from 36 other countries.
