Cool Cats NFT Collection Soars to New Heights in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade
Cool Cats, the NFT collection by artist Colin ‘Clon’ Egan, has secured a coveted spot in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, joining the ranks of iconic characters like Pikachu and Ronald McDonald.
The Cool Cats balloon features the collection’s main character, Blue Cat, and the milk carton, Chugs. In conjunction with this event, a limited-edition Cool Cats hoodie will be available at Macy’s Herald Square, equipped with an NFC tag linking to an Azuki physical-backed token, allowing wearers to engage with the garment in both the real world and Cool Cats’ digital avatar system.
Originally starting as artworks in 2015, Cool Cats evolved into an NFT collection in 2021, gaining recognition during the late 2021 NFT boom. Despite a subsequent market downturn, the collection has expanded its presence to multiple blockchain networks and licensed its intellectual property to game studios. The current floor price for Cool Cats stands at 0.99 ETH, with a notable 225% increase in volume over the last day.
