Coinbase has introduced a streamlined international fund transfer feature to its wallet service, simplifying the process akin to sending a text.
This new capability enables users to transfer funds globally by sharing a link through popular messaging and social media apps like Whatsapp, Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook, Telegram, Snapchat, and email. By eliminating the need for complex banking details and costly wire transactions, Coinbase ensures immediate settlements without fees. If the recipient doesn’t claim the funds within two weeks, they automatically return to the sender.
Comparable to payment methods offered by major corporations like Paypal and Stripe, Coinbase’s innovation echoes Paypal’s Paypal.me service, allowing users to generate personalized links for direct payments to their accounts. In addition, Coinbase has introduced a ‘simple mode’ in its non-custodial wallet, catering to both novice and experienced users with a focus on essential functionalities such as buying, sending, receiving, and securing digital currencies.
