Coinbase Prepares for Silent Re-Entry Into the Indian Market

Coinbase is actively working to reenter the Indian market after its 2022 exit. The exchange is in discussions with Indian authorities, including the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), to secure a license and resume operations.

Previously, Coinbase faced regulatory roadblocks, including restrictions on using India’s UPI payment system. Despite setbacks, the company remains optimistic about India’s crypto potential, emphasizing compliance with local regulations. With Binance already back in the market, Coinbase is moving quickly to reclaim its position in South Asia’s growing crypto landscape.
