Chainlink Enhances Base Blockchain with Data Streams and VRF Integration
Chainlink has enhanced the Base blockchain by integrating its Data Streams and Verifiable Random Function (VRF) services.
This expansion allows developers on Base, an Ethereum layer-two solution, to access Chainlink’s full suite of products. Chainlink’s Data Streams offers low-latency market data and automated execution, improving efficiency for high-throughput DeFi applications. VRF, which provides secure random number generation for smart contracts, has been updated to improve gas usage and user experience.
According to Thodoris Karakostas of Chainlink Labs, the addition of these services supports the growth of decentralized applications on Base, developed by Coinbase, and enhances its security and functionality.
