BitcoinOS has launched Charms, a new metaprotocol that enables native, programmable tokens on Bitcoin and other UTXO blockchains—like Cardano, Dogecoin, and Litecoin—without bridges or custodians.
Charms uses cryptographic proofs and logic to allow secure, verifiable token transfers and decentralized app development directly on Bitcoin. Key features include cross-chain “beaming” of tokens and enchanted Bitcoin (xBTC), aiming to enhance Bitcoin’s role in DeFi and cross-chain interoperability.
