BitcoinOS Integration Brings Arbitrum Into the Bitcoin Ecosystem
Arbitrum has integrated with BitcoinOS (BOS) to enhance Bitcoin interoperability while leveraging Ethereum’s scalability.
This allows Arbitrum One to function as a hybrid rollup, using BOS’s trustless bridging and zero-knowledge proofs for secure Bitcoin transactions. The BOS Grail bridge reduces counterparty risk and offers a decentralized alternative to wrapped bitcoin (WBTC). It also enables faster asset withdrawals, bypassing the seven-day delay of optimistic rollups.
With 8,333 BTC in its ecosystem, Arbitrum’s move strengthens Bitcoin’s role in decentralized finance (DeFi) and expands its utility within Ethereum-based networks.
