Bitcoin Surpasses Hashrate Milestone of 698 EH/s as Miners Power Through Challenges
Bitcoin’s hashrate hit a record high of 698 EH/s on October 10, 2024, surpassing the previous peak of 693 EH/s set in September.
Despite a recent decline in Bitcoin’s price and a rise in network difficulty, miners pushed the computational power to new heights, adding 73 EH/s in just 10 days. This surge in hashrate has also quickened block intervals, with the next difficulty adjustment expected to decrease by 5.9% on October 22. Miners have seen a revenue increase, with hashprice rising 11.75% to $43.48 per PH/s since early September.
