Bitcoin Fees Drop to 1 Satoshi as Mempool Clears – Lowest in Months!

Bitcoin’s transaction volume saw an unusual drop on March 31, with blocks failing to reach full capacity and the mempool briefly clearing out.
At block 890,321, network fees hit a record low of just 1 sat/vB (around $0.12 per transaction). This rare slowdown follows a decline in Ordinal inscriptions and large bitcoin holdings by institutional investors, limiting on-chain activity.
However, by block 890,322, transactions began accumulating again, pushing fees back up to 3–4 sat/vB. The fluctuation highlights Bitcoin’s evolving network dynamics and shifting user behavior.
